Can I use Candle Wax instead of beeswax for painting on fabric dyeing?
I have lots of candles. I do not know if I could replace the beeswax, candle wax so that you can work on fabric dye image. I forget also that this process is called anyone know what I mean. 
Using wax as a resist when the dyed fabrics is called batik. You can use candle wax, which is usually 100% paraffin. Most of the batik artists prefer to use a mixture of 85% paraffin, beeswax with 15%. Paraffin wax is a hard crumbles easily, beeswax not collapse at all. A good mix allows some of these trails seen without a breakdown of batik fabric. A major problem is batiking enough hot wax. If you melt the wax with warm water in a water bath, the wax can not be hot enough to penetrate all tissues as a heavy cotton shirt. It will only work on a Very Fine silk. Melt the wax in my batik mixture to 230 ° F in an electric stove. Some people like to use Soy Wax instead of real wax, for batiking. It is less resistant immersion in water (or color), so we have to paint the dye on your care. Do not use the soft type of soy wax which is used to fabricate candles that remain in their containers when burned. Use the hardest type of soy wax used to make pillar type candles. Another problem batiking is that you do not use dyes in hot water as Rit Dye. The heat needed to melt the wax, dye, ruining the design. Use a dye Cold water as Procion MX dye. A tie of goodwill on the kits contain all dyes and chemicals you need. Avoid tie-kits ink made by Rit, and type of strings attached Magic-dye kit, because they require boiling hot water.
