Can I paint my furniture from IKEA?
I have the IKEA MALM bedroom collection. I know your price, but it was good for an apartment. I really hate the color of birch and I want to move to a darker color, perhaps cherry. The "wood" is made up of particles, birch plywood, clear acrylic varnish. Is it possible to paint this or is it just to give birth to a major disaster? If you Please provide (very) detailed instructions if possible. Thank you in advance!
I painted several pieces of Ikea furniture. Painting spray is the best option to get a smooth finish that is durable and resistant. Zinsser also can be prepared, but make sure you use a roller foam and brush marks to prevent stroke. We can then apply latex rather than new with a foam roller. In any case, sealed with a non-yellowing, UVB / UVA inhibition of polyurethane to protect the finish and make it easier to clean. I have had no success in trying to use the patches furniture Ikea, you can not get a professional finish. But if you want a cherry finish, try to use the Olympics for coloring and painting Lowes accountant. It fits like a painting, but a stain like appearance.
