Someone knows how to strengthen the craft of clay?
My daughter has made Christmas crafts in clay and I said I could put in the oven to dry and harden. Is this true? If yes, what temperature and how long?
Well, who said to let the clay in the oven at 400 for the night is crazy … the fumes are horrible and it will start a fire. Chances are talking … Sculpey you can put in oven at low temperature, depending on the size of the room, about 20 minutes or less or more ….. but we are still talking about minutes, not hours. The mud wrap was in should you exactly what you need to do. If you are not of common clay paste it in the oven to melt and you start a fire. If you have water clay such as pottery, and then paste it in the oven dries faster, but it never heals … you need very high levels in the oven. Hope this helps www.belaart.com
