Exotic Wood Veneer

Table covering with a thin layer of wood?

I build a pine table. I cover the top with a layer of hardwood. This need layer is very thin (eg 4 mm). Is it a "sheet" and is there anywhere is selling like thin or should an existing plan? Can you recommend a provider of Exotic Wood of its kind in the UK or U.S.?
