What is the most used car cheap?

I am buying a truck (preferably V8 Full Size), but I want to know if it is more reliable and better than anyone. I'm looking at the F150, Rams, Silverado, Sierra and Tundra / Tacoma. But if anyone can make a case for the Rangers, the Dakotas and S10 I know I want to spend as little money as possible (less than $ 5,000) and will not my daily driver, only for weekend projects and fishing. I live in Chicago, then 4×4 is a must, and will probably be a high mileage. My father has a spur that is happy with nothing and my father, but the units GMC and good luck with them. Let me know your professional or personal preferences. I am always looking to the contractor used trucks (because they have big engines) but the comfort is not a problem (no need to skin, high sound quality, etc.), just need a good bed (with covers) and the cabin sole is very good.

my family has had at least a half-ton of GM in the family since the 50s, now I have two (2000 and 88), a mid-chevy s 90; / 1500 GMC with a 350 is a car very strong, it would be my first choice
