I'm learning Photoshop 7, can you tell me how to "frame" an image, like putting a black matte / border around them?
I had heard that you need to create a layer in the first place? So what? I know very little about PS. Please give me steps and information to frame my pictures. I'm sure it's a fairly simple procedure. Thank you … At the suggestion of Picasa is a great site, but I have PS 7 and want to learn. Dr. Jesse & Sam – For first I had the opportunity to frame a photo using your two suggestions …….. thank you ……. guys! It's hard, but Dr. Sam has the advantage because the instructions allowed me more versatility.
Open the image you want to process. Make sure the dimensions and resolution. Before doing anything to the image, open a new blank file. Check the size and resolution of the file. – If you do not comply with his original change. Fill the new file with any color you want for your background color. Return to your original file. Select the rectangular selection tool. Set the feather to 10-20 pixels If you want the frame to fade in Select a rectangle around the theme. Copy [Ctrl] + [C]. Return to be filed with the color of their backgroun. View selection copy [Ctrl] + [V]. Merge Visible [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [E]. Voila!
