Is this the difference between the sweet Almond Oil and almond oil?
Today I bought an oil Tea tree that says it needs to be "diluted with sweet almond oil or something similar. I almond oil found in the office of sweet almond oil, is there a difference? Moreover, what is an oil similar to Sweet Almon oil??
Not that it has added more sugar (add sugar and oil) is that it comes from the bitter almond, and it comes from the sweet almond. There are two forms of the plant, one (often with white flowers) producing sweet almonds, and other (often with Pink Flowers) producing bitter almonds. The core of the former contains a fixed oil and emulsion. The extract of bitter almond was used for medicinal purposes, but even in small doses effects are severe and at high doses can be fatal, cyanide must be removed before consumption.
