Black Cherry Cabinet

What color granite will go with cherry cabinets and a laminate floors- a few shades lighter than the cabinets?

I am redoing my kitchen and i picked out cherry cabinets. I also redid my floors in laminate which is a tad lighter than the cabinets (looks wonderful) I am totally stuck on what color granite I should get. I am torn between the madura gold and the black…I love the black but am afraid it will make things look too dark…I also want something that will be “timeless” and not look outdated in five years….so confused….I some feedback would greatly be appreciated..

Black. I have cherry cabinets with black counters and I love it. Remember you can always brighten things up with paint.
